OTIS!
Otis (it was a toss up between Bernie and Otis but he really is an Otis) is almost perfect. He is friendly, so the others liked him instantly. He is chatty. He is equal opportunity with the people. He is just a lover. Period.
However, he poops in the house. On the carpet. I have been dealing with this for 2 weeks. The CAT (http://catadoptionteam.org) folk have commended me for my persistence with him. However, he poops in the house. Keep in mind I say poop not pee- so he knows the box routine!
I have done just about it all; litter attractors, putting him in the box, showing him how to scratch, currently there is 4 feet deep tin foil lining the floors of the living and dining areas so he will not find it 'attractive' however, he poops in the house.
The last two days have been better.
Let's hope we can lick this...
