Sleater-Kinney *Dig Me Out*
One of my favorite Sleater-Kinney albums. This marked their third release, and it continued my belief that it is impossible for these girls to release anything less than perfect. I have probably featured this album before in my rotation, ah well.
Botch *American Nervoso*
One of Botch's early releases. I decided to dig this out of the "vault" and put it into my weekly rotation. Pure complexity. If this album doesn't make you a fan...Then shame on you!
Dropkick Murphys *Do or Die*
Ok, so I pretty much have a soft spot for all bands from Boston (minus Aerosmith). This is Dropkick at the peak of their perfection. Love this album.
The Hissyfits *Letters From Frank*
Magnificently orchestrated epic that includes chorus, strings, timpani and all, produced with What a terrific album. Upbeat, fun, and a great addition to anyone's collection. I'm suprised I haven't thrown this one in the mix, previously. Tsk tsk.
Pussycat Trash *The Brat Years: 1992-1995*
If you don't own this album then you suck! Ok, so maybe you don't suck, but you should get this album nonetheless. For all of those who consider themselves of the "riot" genre, Pussycat Trash has a few things to teach you.
I AM the World Trade Center *Out of the Loop*
Do not let the somewhat bittersweet name sway you way from this album. This band is pure sugar. You'll find yourself dancing and swinging to the beats and catchy vocals.
