Mom, and Fame.

This is going to be a wordy post which nobody will read. I don't think you all need to bother yourself with me anyway. And besides, no one reads friends' page nowadays except for maybe a few of you who are still active on LJ.

But I was chatting with mom earlier on, and guess what, I did let her listen to my newest cover, and that's First Love. She liked it a lot, she said. Of course I'm really happy about it, but then talks went on, and I seriously considered...

"What if I really became famous for singing/voiceacting in Japan?"

But then the idea of impossibility came back. Which I mean, doesn't even have to be mentioned by my mom because I know it myself.

Look at me. Where are my talents? What are my talents? I can't dance. I can't write a song. I can't compose songs. I can't play the piano. I'm barely musically talented, or even creative.

So what am I even holding onto this useless dream for?

Sure, people don't set their own limits, and always do your best, and if you never tried you'd never know. But think again, and think realistically this time: I don't look good, I don't have a unique voice, my singing so far has only been so-so, so what am I even doing?

See, if anyone is reading this right now, let me ask you a question: if I asked you to buy the previous cover I just did, (and I upped the quality even more) will you buy it?

No you wouldn't, because it is cold hard truth that the enjoyment level is only this much, and you won't listen to it again.

Yes I am assuming things, but you can say, "But you have a voice." Yes I do, but is it unique enough to let people notice you? No. Is it good enough to put it out there? No. Is it even going to sell and people will enjoy it?

Still no.

有时事情就是这样,没有的改变。要说我悲观,我不是那样,只是很清楚自己的能力和实力,也很现实。做梦也只是短暂,现实才是永远。

rl, obviously i think too much, !rant
