Title: An Anti-Chinese Day
Rating: NC-17 BL yaoi smexy tiemz kidding you anyone can read it
Genre: slice of life, general
Summary: A Monday which
xploded_tb went through.
One fine Monday morning,
xploded_tb woke up at 9am, had breakfast and was all prepared to begin her Monday morning as happily as she could. It was tough since she almost always suffers Monday blues even though her day begins only at 3pm. She just wanted to arrive much earlier in order to get work done.
As she was walking towards university, she saw a lady standing in front of a little building. She thought the lady was waiting for someone, but it turns out the lady turned around and faced
xploded_tb instead.
xploded_tb, with her earphones plugged in, pretended not to hear or see. However, she felt bad, "What if this lady has something important?". With that, she made eye contact with the lady to acknowledge her, and took out one of her earphones to hear what the lady had to say.
The first thing the lady said was, "Can you understand English?"
xploded_tb didn't feel obliged to answer. In fact, she wanted to just leave, but did so anyway. It turned out that the lady was wondering what time the building would be open for office hours. Truth is,
xploded_tb didn't know, so she went on her merry way towards university again.
xploded_tb knew she shouldn't feel insulted, since it was relatively natural to be asked that when you have very Asian skin and hair. However, to
xploded_tb, it would be relatively important to know English to survive in a country that speaks it.
xploded_tb noted that she was in no way dressed like a tourist, so there would be even less reason for the lady to doubt her level of proficiency in English.
But
xploded_tb is a person who forgets little things here and there easily, so has forgotten it by the time the lecture finished. However, it seemed this little annoying encounter would hit her again when she went shopping at 6pm right after her lecture.
She walked towards the chilled section where they usually sell stirfry stuffs - vegetable mix packs, beansprout packs along with some carrot batons etc, and there's also egg noodles (which
xploded_tb has come to dislike but since there aren't many options) and rice noodles. Rice noodles are the thin ones.
And to
xploded_tb's shock, she stared at the extremely empty chilled section.
She stood around for 10 minutes, and it seemed they didn't have an intention to refill it anytime soon.
With a defeated sigh,
xploded_tb muttered, "Is today Anti-Chinese day...?"

Other than that, I've got uni apps going on all over again. Except you know, I'm used to it now. Only not used to how troublesome it is... Applying for a visa + filling in heaps of forms is like changing a uni. Gonna have to write a mini personal statement again - 500 words (in English, luckily) about why I want to go to ICU in Japan to study, and future career plans. I'm not sure if I should be honest and say I want to be a seiyuu. seriously, no, I'd leave that out. a translator is a more 'professional' one.
RE Junjou Romantica: Guh? It seems like this may be about commemorating the 10th anniversary or something. Hmm. Maybe it's not a chapter? or maybe it will be but to commemorate the 10th anniversary lol
Finally, thank you for the adorableeee blue dragon
