Things are returning to normal, yes?

It seems like LJ has become a lot more stable over the course of yesternight and today! Hope it stays this way and soon the "access forbidden" page will soon be removed. :'D I also got an orchid from frank lol. Thank you. :'D

It's now early morning 9.18 am and I'm actually awake. (Was actually awake since...since 5am. >>;;) I have guzheng lesson later at 11.50 so I have to go off and practice a bit.

Before that, yesternight there was an earthquake in Japan, they measured the magnitude about 7.1 (US) while it's 7.4 for Japan. Whichever case, it's a 7 magnitude one, and like I said, the tweeting for Ishida Akira-san was going a bit out of hand. LOL he tweets a lot. Yes I use Twitter to stalk VAs and mangaka, you got a prob with that?

BESIDES JAPAN, there was also another earthquake in Mexico. I just heard the news report this morning at 6am that it happened, I think, quite awhile after the earthquake in Japan. :\ Fortunately for both cases, I think there were no specific reports about extensive damage.

So yesterday I had a loooooong chat with mayu_kkg and intend to do so again soon, not sure when but one of these days (not sure about today, as I replied you. xD;;) And yesterday we were on the topic about getting a job in Japan.

In Japan, apparently to get a job, it's unlike in Singapore where you can send your resume whenever. Anytime, and you start work ANYTIME. In Japan, people start work together within a fixed time range. If I remember correctly, it's April. (I know they have many people have a thing with spring being the beginning of everything, but to take it so far...And not to mention it dies off, symbolism of things being short-lived? That's kind of...worrying.) Also, to send in your resume to their companies, you'd have to email them which they will send you back a copy of how they want you to fill in your resume.

That's not all. You hand-write your resume.

You hand-write your resume.

No computers, email, word docs, PDF formats - no. Hand-write. Must be neat, must be pretty. If you suck, you can pay them to write it neatly for you.

If you screw-up, no correction liquid, no correction tape - just scrap the entire thing and re-write it. This means, you will need to prepare lots of extra copies in case you screw up.

And like Misaki did in his interviews with Marukawa, to pass it he went for multiple interviews. That happens in Japan as well. (Except his seems a bit too easy and lulzy) After the first interview, they'd tell you to wait for the results. It can be up to a month before you know. And so if you pass that, you'll get to go on to a second one. Sometimes there may be a third one even. Thing is, if you passed the first and failed the second...good luck to you.

All in all, you maaaaay take up to a year to get a job. It's also expensive since jobs are not always readily available in every region, so people need to fly to another region to find it. That's expensive, and time-consuming. If you missed the 'official application times all over for Japan', then you need to wait for the next round.

See my point in JR being a wee bit too much on the unrealistic side? XD Misaki got his job waaaaay too quickly! But then again, university also plays a part in helping their students get one, even though it wasn't explicitly said so in the manga itself.

That and also, Misaki obtains his "naitei". Ahhh, yes, that's what we call a 'decision' where you already got the job. You are just waiting to begin the job that is all. It's kind of like, "I finished making dinner but I'm just waiting for my Usagi to come home to eat it with me."

Troublesome, isn't it? Explains the high jobless and depression rate. Thanks for the insight mayu! <3

Lastly, received raws from cheezy for Koishite Daddy. Time to release soon! ;D

ETA: I spiffed up my top post especially for the section with the series I'm doing for Echochi. Holyshit, I never realize how much I am in for until I list it out. :| In any case, I do encourage people to check it bi-weekly because I should have a 100% complete nearly every week for 1 chapter, but it highly depends.

Just reminding anons/other users, don't go adding me because you want my translations. On the contrary, I don't appreciate that. I'd love it if you RSS'd/tracked me. :'D

ohshit, why do i have so much time?, fandom: junjou romantica, lj, wtf?, lists are good
