Ponder Post

Oh hey, alliteration! *ahem* Well, I could call this a curious post or something as well. I was just wondering.

We're an entire social network of friends, you see. We're strangers since we technically don't know each other (ah, unless I know you in real life) besides maybe fandom interests and once in awhile stayed tuned to each other's real life, if the other blogs about it. As you all know, I do actually read my friends page everyday and try to see what you guys are up to. I know a bunch of you also read my journal for various reasons, comment for various reasons. In this way, a bond between us is forged.

So I was wondering, what if one day, all of a sudden, this bond is cut?

So to say, what if I suddenly stopped posting? Any and everything at all for maybe about 3 weeks or more than a month. And you weren't given prior notice about it (like last time, I announced I would be away to Europe so I posted about my absence) and sometimes you check your friends page and you realize my posts don't show up for quite awhile.

I'm just...wondering how many of you would suddenly think, "Oh hey, I haven't seen xploded_tb's posts in awhile, I wonder where she could've gone to/what happened to her...?"

Just. Don't mind me, I'm having a strange moment of, "What happens if..." kind of situation.

Reason being that last time I remember I got off rather well with a friend I used to chat with, then I never saw her f-locked posts for quite some time since she posts rather regularly, and it was about 2 weeks since she posted. I checked her profile. Updates were still recent, then I found out it was because she removed me from her list so...no wonder I couldn't see her posts. And that got me thinking as if like perhaps she was extremely stressed with work or something. :\

So, yeah. Just wondering, how many of you would think about your friends not posting for awhile? And if you think just merely friending on the net is just 'merely friending', I'm afraid you are quite wrong. I friend people on my list for a reason, and that's because I feel the connection with them and I do want to continue to stay in contact with all on my list for as long as possible.

why do i have so much time?, lj, !rambling, people
