I'm dreaming of Jamaica
I went to Sandals.com just out of curiosity to see what it would cost to elope in Jamaica or the Bahamas and wow! For $4096.44 Brent and I could fly to the Negril resort and stay for 5 nights in a Honeymoon Plantation Suite which is described as: "Tucked away in the lush vegetation of the resort, these suites located in the Bamboo Grove offer perfect solitude for honeymooners. Bedrooms with four-poster bed and sitting area are all uniquely shaped. Large vanity area and bath. View - Garden." If you stay for 5 nights or more you get a free wedding. If we can't find a good place to get married here, I think this is an option we will seriously consider. I'd rather elope on a beautiful tropical island with the two of us than shell out a bunch of money for a halfway nice place so that our whole entire families can come. Eloping is sounding more and more romantic every day. I don't know how I'd feel if I couldn't have my parents there, though. Hopefully we'll find a nice place here and not have to worry about it.
