Emergency averted. It actually wasn't such a big deal getting to the city after Vassar realized that it might be tough to get to the airports and offered an emergency transport shuttle. So I just took all my stuff (80lbs+) to Main Circle, loaded it into the shuttle, got off the shuttle at JFK, and then waited around (the latter of which should be present tense). I'm glad I got to avoid the city. The trains are still running, but there are delays and waits and then I hear the city is extremely crowded and just really hard to navigate through without the subway and taxi. Thank goodness for Vassar Shuttle.
Only 2hrs and 15 minutes until my flight departs and then another 6 hour and 20 min flight and then 45 minutes drive to Shoreline then I will be home! Wow, I love going to school across the country.
The one thing I do actually like about it (besides school, friends, etc.) is that when I stress out and have panic attacks and headaches, spend 13+ hours packing everything, take all my stuff downstairs from my room without an elevator, get to and from storage, put everything into storage... wait, am I trying to say I like something about this...oh yeah, I like how sore my body, especially my arms, get from having to exert so much energy. And this morning I ran from South lot to Joss and then to Jewett (the latter not so impressive, I know). I was really pressed for time.
In Summary:
-I'm at JFK!
-I'm about to get onto a 6hr+ flight
-I'm really extremely sore all over.
Goals for winter break:
-Not gain any weight
-Get into better shape by: running at least 3x a week, eating well, the usual
-Eat really good food
-Hangout with really great people
-Take really artsy pictures of Seattle/Washington
-Plan various cross-country trips (my friend Whitney and I really want to plan a trip around the country for like 10 of our friends. It'll be the most hilarious trip ever. Well, maybe next to a cross country trip that Jamie, Terry, Melvin, whoever else wants to come, and I take after graduation.)
