So, the government is shut down, huh? I'm all for making a stand and sticking to your guns, but I'm not really okay with the fact that a bunch of people don't currently have their jobs or paychecks, and are likely struggling because of it, when those making the decision to shut down the government don't have to suffer the consequences themselves ( Read more... )

BSF! I did BSF for a few years, and even though my cousin calls it "the Bible study Stalin would start, if Stalin started a Bible study," I liked it. I actually considered starting up again this year. Maybe next time! Enjoy your year!

(Fun fact: BSF started at my church! Back in the '60s, by a friend of my great-grandmother's. Ironically, we don't have a chapter now.)

Hooray for knitting! You are super smart to make things that actually MATCH: this took me years to figure out, so now I have tons of knitted accessories that don't match. If you ever need knitting-pattern help, let me know!

Also, that painting is amazing for a non-painter! Mine would be...not NEARLY that good.
