As I suspected.
Looks like they took the extension of the allowed characters in the field option:
"The length of the Accounting code fields were different from the Help Desk form to the SHR:People form. On the SHR:People form the length was 60 and on the Help Desk form the length was 30. I lengthened the Accounting code field on the Help Desk form to 60. The Status field has changed from Work In Progress to Resolved"
