I'm wierd today. Listening to "Grace Cathedral Hill" By The Decemberists and not doing my homework. Fuck it. Pfft.
Sure, it's an english essay. But I'll do it in the morning, or summat. I dunno. I'm just too tired tonight to do anything. Just like last night...and the night before...and the night before that...and so on, and so forth. Oh well.
"Grace Cathedral Hill, all wrapped in bones of setting sun, all dust and stone and moribund. I paid 25 cents to light a little white candle, for a new years day. I sat and watched it burn away, then turned and weaved through slow decay. We were both a little hungry, so we went to get a hotdog down the hyde street pier. The light was slight and dissappeared. The air, it stunk of fish and beer. We heard a superman trumpet play the national anthem."
Excellent song.
Complete list of homework I'm most definately NOT doing tonight and shall, instead, do in the morning when I'm rushed and stressed and will hate myself for having such poor time management skills:
-reviewing Qin Dynasty stuff for WH project. Due next week (first group presenting. Just my luck.)
-Studying for Latin Test (I can do it during lunch. Yeah. Right)
-Science Formal Lab (The rough draft is done...I just need to copy it over...yeah...
-English Essay
-shoot self in head.
Okay, minus the last one.
"And the world may be long for you, but he'll never belong to you, and on a motorbike, when all the city lights blind your eyes tonight, are you feeling better now? Are you feeling better now? Are you feeling better now?"
Seriously. Go download that song. Right now. So good.
But the day won't be so bad. I'll do my essay on the bus and before we get to school. I'll catch up on WH during VISART. I'll do the Lab durning english when I'm "taking Notes". And the test I can study for during arch. drawing or science.
"Some way to greet the year, your eyes all bright and brimmed with tears. The pilgrims, pills, and tourists here sing "Fifty three bucks to buy a brand new halo." I'm sweet on a green eyed girl, all firey irish clip and curl, all brine and piss and vinegar. I paid 25 cents to light a little white candle. And the world may be long for you, but he'll never belong to you, but on a motorbike, when all the city lights blind your eyes tonight, are you feeling better now? Are you feeling better now?"
And afterschool I'm going to stay after with Kendra, Kevin, Bryan, and Michelle. We'll hang out and then we're watching the play "Proof" at three o'clock before going home. And I can't go out this friday night, because my parents are going out.
"Are you feeling better now?"
Much love kiddos.
