what a new year
I waited around long enough to see if I still had a job. I've been on vacation since before Christmas basically because the person who writes my checks didn't want to set up any work for me.
So today, he basically claims that I'm too expensive to keep around,
essentially firing me without ever saying the words "you dont have a job anymore"
And that was my breadwinning job!
But alas, I understand that
THIS, TOO, SHALL PASS
hopefully, on an optimistic note, my painting crew will move to another company
resulting in better conditions for all.
I also gained closure today -- closure from my Mx-6.
I didnt actually see it -- i just got a check for the remains.
Finally that is off my shoulders and some money in my pocket.
Other than the fact that im job hunting, not much is new.
i might sit around to see if a new painting gig opens,
but if not I would LOVE to work as a Bar Back,
which is like bartenders assistant
and I bet i could get the job at Jackson's -- that place in SoHo.
