It wasn't like Santana watched Disney movies. Because she didn't. That'd be ridiculous. She didn't like things like princesses. However, Brittany did. Santana had to hear it every time they had a movie night. Every Disney movie on the face of the planet was offered up, and it didn't matter what disgusted expression Santana would pull---because she would give in, every time. Always. And they'd sit there through the Lion King or the Little Mermaid. And, it wasn't because Santana didn't have a heart because she did---somewhere--but she would always look away when the one sad part came around. [Because all those fucking films had those depressing spots, yeah.] And she didn't do the sniffles---but Brittany did. Always. Everytime the lion---Mufasa, was it? Whatever, it didn't matter. When the one lion fell to the ground dead, that really did Brittany in. And the whole night Santana would have to sit there, pulling Brittany into her body and comforting her. It's always been the classics with them. Up until a Friday night where Brittany pulls out a dvd Santana can say she hadn't seen before. Princess in the Frog. And, just the title makes Santana's nose wrinkle, as she scowls. [Not that it's an uncommon expression for the Latina to pull.] Brittany loves the story line---but Santana thinks it's far too cliched. Because, really, it is. She's sixteen, and a thing like love with a handsome prince? That kind of cheese didn't exsist. But because Brittany believes in it---cooes over it, it isn't long before Santana finds herself trapped in another Disney haze. It wasn't like she intended to smile a half hour into the film, because she didn't. But Brittany chooses that moment to pry her eyes away from the screen and look up just in time to spot the upward quirk of lips. Santana's been caught, and that blinding grin plastered to the blonde's face causes the other Cheerio to cringe. She goes the rest of the movie slouching her shoulders in defiance, but it does no good. Because, she's been enjoying herself with this---this....children's film. She isn't dazzled by the romance of the film, because she's no softy. But, Brittany awes at every romantic twist and turn. And Santana's stomach never does flips when she hears Brittany whisper out in song just before bedtime---singing out the lyrics of Ma Belle Evangeline. Because, Santana doesn't really care for romantic Disney songs---because...well because she's a tough cookie. But Brittany always loves any song between two lovers in Disney movies. Always. So Santana does too, or...at least she pretends.
