Frown

This is the first spring in eleven years that I haven't played softball. It's also the first time in thirteen years that I haven't gone to Cheder, the motley crew of Jewish leftists, atheists, and quasi-pagans who get together to "teach each other's children," as one so perfectly put it. I miss home, and I miss the Metro, and I even occasionally miss school (rose-colored glasses and all), but these are the holes that make me feel like I'm drifting. A year without softball? It's too sad to dwell on. Sunday mornings without soft soft bagel innards and singing "Zoom Gali Gali?" I don't know who I am if not a Chedernik softball pitcher.
