One Month Post
Well, it's been one month since I arrived on these here Texan shores. I thought I would do an update for those of you only skimming along at home. I don't know that I'll do these posts every month, but my goal is to do them once a month for a year at least.
Fashion
Home:
I am firmly ensconced at the Porn and Power T household. It's SO good getting to spend time with the family, especially in these months before Jordan graduates from High School in mere weeks and Jagger is about to turn 16. I am on a campaign to make Porn take a break and relax. I have not get to spend enough one on one time with Theresa, but one of the nice things about all this is that now I have enough time in the world.
In addition to my "official home", I have two host families in the city thanks to captainsodium and mscaution and Celeste, and my other house is Reverend Kevin and Susan who were friends from my time in Houston.
On the whole I have been managing to not feel too unsettled about not having a long term base or so little of my belongings. I do have to admit that I haven't been keeping my car as clean as I would like due it being my moving house, but my mom is coming tomorrow so that situation will be cleared up then.
My new Room
Friends:
I have been made to feel truly welcome by the other expatriates, and the new people I'm meeting and connecting with are truly fabulous as well. I am looking forward to post Flipside time when I will get to spend more time with people who are currently in project mode.

Nothing yet, but there's so many options currently! Actually, this is so not the focus on what I'm about right now, but I know some of you will ask.
Work:
I am still looking, but with only a month under my belt I'm not concerned. I've actually met with four recruiters in the last two days, and I feel like things will happen soon. I am far from worried. I am meeting people and have begun going to a job networking group here as well.
