Today is the day.
All our friends took me for a surprise welcome home dinner at Manjaro. Got the room upstairs. They asked me how life was with you.
I corrected them. How was life without you?
And then the room paused. It was a deafening silence. Then the questions came marching in one by one.
"How long ago?" "Why?" "Are you OK?" "Who's the new girl?" "What are you going to do?"
Ooh. The most agonizing thing for me to go thru was their 'sympathy' looks as we all parted ways. And the pats on the back and the "it'll be OK"s and the "No matter what happens, we're still your friends." OK, now what's funny about that is you were my friends to begin with LOL LOL LOL! OK, I mean we were each other's mutual friends through them, but it's not like he introduced me to them.
What now? I have an interview at a law firm tomorrow in Qlap. Owned by a family friend. Chances of me getting this job is quite high because they don't have an accountant. I wud much prefer to apply at the bank though.
I gave my parents this ultimatum. If I can't find something I like to do in 3 months, I am continuing with my masters in September. They are happy for me but would much prefer I stay at home for a while.
