'I should know better than to doubt a lady's word but ..' He gently touched the bandages. 'Are you sure? Do you not need comfort and rest?'

Got more comfort and rest than I could ever need over last night, but thanks for your concern kind sir. *giggles*

'Right.' He took a step back. Something had happened here, but he knew how annoying it could be to have someone nosing around. 'My apologies, I will leave you be.'

I get it, I do. But. *shrugs* It happened and it's over now. I find it's best just to pick up the pom poms and not think of it.

I do. I'm not trying to brag but my parents are both alive, not divorced, and pretty supportive. I'm pretty lucky, I know.
