Dinner for One

Of course, there's really nothing too exciting in it for me. Valentines can kiss my behind. The truth of the matter is: I'll be spending it alone & miserable.
It's one of those days where the coupled up can have an excuse to be as romantic & lascivious as they please, while the lonely individuals sulk at home munching on chocolates with a box of tissues watching sappy romance films. More than likely, that is exactly what I'll be doing.
Okay, I'm not trying to be cynical about this. Just a tad bit disappointed that my significant other, or should I say my ex-significant other, won't be sweeping me off my feet today.
It's one of those days I wish I had somebody to hold, somebody to cuddle with, somebody to share my affection with, somebody to make me fall in love all over again. BUT, since that isn't going to happen today, I guess I should just treat today like any other day to save me from the tears.
Now if you excuse me, I will submerge my ears in love songs while I fantasize about my what-could-have-been Valentines. Have a wonderful day everyone.
