tl;dr I need to infect the world with CHEKA and the Ohkrana
Longer, but more sensical story: in my history revolutions class, my teacher made a passing comment about how the
CHEKA were like the
Okhrana, but more lethal.
And because my brain likes to operate in ways even I have yet to comprehend, my train of thought went thusly:
lethal -> death -> disease -> Pandemic
Sadly I'm having difficulty trying to decide how exactly I want the specifics of the stats for the my lovely little diseases.
The three classes:
Virus
- fastest revolution
- most affected by environment
- bonus to infectivity
Bacteria
- medium evolution
- normaly affected by environment
- bonus to drug resistance
Parasite
- slowest evolution
- least affected by environment
- low visibility
I'm thinking I should put down the CHEKA as virus -- surely a parrallel can be drawn between 'fastest revolution' and the fact that the CHEKA underwent a few name changes, and the fact that historians seem to be of the unaminous opinion that the CHEKA were the result of the tumultuous times of the early days of the Bolshevik regime (i.e. 'most affected by environment).
So would the Okhrana falls under parasite? It's not like they evolved (no name changes, no role changes, no particularly dynamic changes to their role under the tsar), and they had a fairly low visibility I should think -- they were the secret police, the idea was to have a low visibility. But were they affected by the environment? I imagine they reacted to the environment, but not to the same extent as the CHEKA...
...but I can't envisage them as bacteria. Not quite sure how 'bonus to drug resistance' could be applied to the Okhrana.
And then there's the rest of the gameplay to consider. How do I upgrade them as I play my way through? Should I reset the game repeatedly until I manage to start in Russia for both playthroughs? Aaaah, such a fabulous waste of time.
god damn it Okhrana, couldn't you have chosen a name easier to spell?
