Edward: Now we drive until the pavement ends.
Bella: And what's there, at the pavement's end?

That quote was recently brought to my attention. Is it a metaphor for their relation? Is it a metaphor for life?

You just keep going and going. You don't why or what will happen when you reach your destination but you keep going because that's the thing to do. It's what people tell you to do. Sometimes, though, you get fed up and want to head back but nothing is the same. Sometimes, your car breaks down and you stand at the edge of the road, thumb reaching for the sky, waiting for someone to pick you up and take you where ever they're going. Watch out, sometimes it's better to walk, however slow and tiring it may be. Sometimes, you may take a detour, intentionally or not.  Take your time, enjoy the sites. Stop, and smell the roses... There may not be many flowers where you're headed. If it rains, let it pour. If there's a storm, it may be best to stop and let it blow over unless you want to get caught. Every storm stops sometime. Bring a friend, or a lover, along. It's nice to share. And when you finally reach the end of the pavement you'll have someone to hold your hand.

So with the silly road trip metaphor I'm trying to say [keypoints]: Don't give up, accept help from people but be careful of their intentions, keep going even when things seem impossible or pointless, enjoy life, accept sadness but don't let misery keep you forever, let love in.

I'm going to live like this. Just you watch.
