I got my lost sketchbook back, so I can show you guys some sketches that I had thought about posting over the summer, but never got around to it. That's part of the reason why I wanted to post, but I also went on a scanning spree this morning so I have other drawings, old an new, to show. Click on the images to get a larger view.
First up are some sketches done at the Bean Museum, same place where I did
this drawing. The last three were done about a week before I started that drawing, and the first three were rendered about five months prior to that. These are not the only drawings I have from there, but they are definitely the better ones.

These next sketches are mostly from the time period between the two sets of sketches above (October 2008- March 2009.) Look guys I got Kyro onto one page!!!111! But he's missing a lot of his hair... (for those of you who don't know, Kyro has a notorious habit of not staying on the page. Usually it's his tail that's cut off)

So that creature beside the Zharcaor head shot at the top is Korsk Deng'dt, a Ktg'torokg like
Tzg Kteg'ron. Even though he is quite a bit younger than Tzg Kteg'ron, they are about the same size.
That middle image was a redo of another sketch, if it looks familiar to anyone. Basically it's Zharcaor and Shinerai, who are both shape shifters turning into the other.
And that drawing at the very bottom right is an avian. I think it's Nailmus if I remember right.
Here is a random still-life done in gray brush pen. I think I've seen that dragon before...

This next picture was practice for that obsession self portrait.

These next pictures are of T'heraihrlhohnhekhahon, or Terai'n for short. I was trying to figure out a design for his manifest form. I knew was that he needed to be long and that the form needed to at least vaguely reflect a rock/earth element. The first two images on the top left are fairly close to the final design for his head. Large picture is the final design up to this point. Clearly that picture is not finished. The perspective on wedge spike things on the right side was killing me. I redid that so many times, and it's still not right. :/

I was thinking of making him seahorse like, which is shown in that small s-shaped drawing. That's what lead to the idea of giving him segments (no seahorses don't really have segments, but they have ridges that divide the body up into almost segment like parts.) Initially they were round, but then I wanted to try making them flat. As I started doing that, Deigom makes a comment something along the lines of "My brother's a tape worm! XDDDDD". With that in mind, I proceeded to make him very long and flat, like a tape worm, but I kept the head sort of like a seahorse's head. Before I started designing him, I wasn't even really sure what his physical form was, but I figured he was something like a ring or a bracelet, essentially, something circular. To go along with this idea, I made his body form a circle, so his tail connects to the underside of his head and neck.
And that's how i came up with Terai'n's design. If you want to read more about him, go
here.
Now here are some recent sketches. Recent meaning within the last 3 weeks. All but the Zharcaor one were done in class on my notes. These are all pretty small drawings, especially that Shin one (look how far apart the blue lines are.)

Kyro's tail is going off that page as usual... I don't know if I'll finish that one.
I drew the Shinerai picture without a reference. In fact, it wasn't even supposed to be Shin at first, but it just sort of turned into him. I couldn't remember his markings though. I like how his expression came out though.
Across from Shin is Rhodhehshian, or more accurately, Rhodhehshian's manifest form, because he's a Kiroden (Khirhodhenkhirhom), and a very scary one at that. I've never really sat down and designed this character before. I just drew the picture and thought "Yup, that's Rhodhehshian alright." He's supposed to look sort of like an undead anthro jackalope, cause you know, jackalopes are always dead, or at least the ones I've seen are always dead. XD Actually, his head isn't shaped like a rabbit skull. I wanted him to have those freakishly yellow orange rodent teeth, and rabbit's don't have teeth like that. I'm working on another drawing of him now, and the skull is a combination of a rabbit, muskrat, jerboa, and squirrel. And he does have feet, he just ran off the bottom of the page in this picture. He's got those practically gravity defying
jerboa stilt feet, because he does defy gravity. I've been debating weather or not I should give him a tail though, that an maybe a little bit of hair here and there. I don't know...
And now for school stuff. This time it's only going to be photography.
We had an abstract assignment. I thought that was fun. We needed to take 36 abstract pictures of one object (only 4 are graded though.) Some of mine were not so abstract, but I liked them. See if you can figure out what it is.

Does anyone else see a face in the photo above? To me it looks like an alien sheep face or something. XD

Hard to figure it out isn't it? XD
The next assignment was color. I went abstract again, because I could. This time, there were only 3 that were graded (still 36 images to turn in though). It was hard to pick only three. These are some of the ones that I liked.

For the next assignment, I need to photograph light. I need pictures of both natural and artificial light, so last night I went out at 11 pm and photographed the moonlight. Luckily it was a full moon.
This is the moon's reflection in rippling water

For these next ones, I held a plastic transparent purple plate in front of me and photographed the moon through it.
