Here I sit at the apex of winter, the apogee of rot and decline, yet I find myself reaping a strange and delicious harvest. Perhaps it's my resolve that when the world dumps truckloads of shit at your door, the best thing to do is fertilize the garden. Sometimes you have to wait for rot and decomposition to sus the nutrient out. Now is the time to wait, to let wounds scar over, to reflect inward, and to seek out the light within. Let us not jump too quickly to the coming spring. Let us contemplate our new vector and velocity as a nation, within our various communities and subcultures, and as individuals. Let us use this longest night to dream our biggest dreams. In this stillness let us retool our routine to deliver the life demanded by our Hearts, Souls, and Bodies. Let us begin again, continue on, and leave behind as whispered to us by our own Higher Selves on this longest darkest night. It is the dreams we share that bind us more tightly than blood, or geography, or work association. Let us pause to Know our Dreams.
Now is the moment of choice. From here we set our intentions for the coming year and more. I Ken this particular solstice is of unusual importance. There has been a shift in the collective unconscious. There is a rare opportunity for New Thoughts to take hold, for new ways of doing to be tried, and for new awakenings of hearts and minds to dawn.
Perhaps it is time for the sentinels to have company, and the outsiders to go in.
