Holy Week 2010
Happy Easter Everyone!! What a great day to start.. Jesus has been resurrected and has given us new life.. I feel so blessed... ~ would just like to share some photos of how Holy Week is done in the Philippines.. I really miss that time of the year there, everyone takes part in holy week, where there is a "Prusisyon" or Parade of all the figures (Jesus, Mama Mary, saints etc) in chronological order of Jesus' death.
Its hard to explain in words, so here are some photos (from my relatives in Philippines--hope they don't mind^^;) but I just love seeing it and being part of it. Basically, each family has one statue/figure that they have and these figures are placed on a float-thingy and you walk around the whole neighbourhood, praying the way of the cross during Good Friday for the whole day. Its so tiring, but its a tradition done by nearly everyone in Philippines.. It's really a great sight to see ^_^
