So I went to Downtown Vancouver today with a friend to "experience" the Olympics myself for the first time ^_^ well I went to a celebration site on the first and second day.. but thats it.
[taken from a convo.. XD just added some stuff in italics...]
I got to see pretty much everything there and even got upclose to a reporter. My friend and I, only the two of us went (since this is our last week of no school), were standing about 2 people to the right of the reporter and thought we were in the shot... but we weren't(I just watched the TV 2mins. ago and .. LOL.. I event texted 3 of my other friends.. how embarrasing.. and we were too far to be included in the shot :'( ) but I recorded the clip anyways... it was a good experience I guess.. and interesting.. LMAO...
Oh ! and they made SCIENCE world (in Stadium-- the globe round thingy) the Russia house..!! we lined up for it for about 40-60mins.. and its pretty cool.. mostly everything was in cyrillic alphabet but the performance of the traditional Russian singers were so good.. really cooland they are hosting the 2014 Olympics ^^
I didn't get to go to the Vancouver Art Gallery.. a shame since they had free admission only from 10am-3pm =_=.. we got there too late and they even were showing Da Vinci's art FOR FREE..aghh so mad... and then my friend showed me this JAPANESE book/CD/magazine store called "BOOK-OFF" and it was MAGIC!! LOL.. everything was from Japan except for some CDs and books which were western stuff... weird.. but they had tons of mangas (both in english and japanese) and even ..ehem.. ecchi magazines (for men) but I spotted one Yaoi anime magazine which I think was a game. Anyway I bought 2 $1 CDs (holy crap!!) even though I didn't know the artists.. I was like hell they are japanese and $1!!! wtf!! and 2 $5 english mangas (which were even more 20% off!! wtf!!!) they are "Alichino" and "The World exists for me" (kinda old.. but wut the heck right?.. Im into fantasy/magic/love kinda genres so..) anyways its my haven!! haha you would die too if you went there!! a lot of japanese mangas were $2!!! they had a lot of popular titles and all kinds of genres.. a shame I can't read them.. but I plan to buy some next time ^^
... but anyway the olympics is great!! I don't mean to be such a show off about Canada but the spirit is hard NOT to feel.. I feel proud of the other countries too ^_^ its great, really!!
oh forgot to add... Canada won against Germany today in ice hockey 8-2!! Hwaah.. but let' s see how they'll do against Russia tomorrow.. whom Canada hasn't beaten since 1960's... *gulp* good luck guys!!

Its kinda sad that its ending soon... but I'll try to participate/look around asap I still have a lot of alot of assignments to do so I'm praying hard.. haha today was such a contrast from yesterday.. its not that I was depressed after the vacation but somehow I kind of just broke down after watching the last episode of
Hwang Bo & Hyun Joong(or affectionately known as 'JoongBo' or Ssangchu/Lettuce couple) in We Got Married.... it got so sad when HwangBo was crying and it brought me tears too.. and then just opened up alot of "hidden" emotions within me.. I don't know why... but yeah after that I felt a bit better.. like I finally confronted some deep down feelings I tried to restrain.. today was much better and the joy of the olympic stuff really turned my frown upside down ^_^ XD..
