I'm all for stopping animal cruelty but... that's ridiculous.

That's insane. People are ridiculous. I'm relatively sure most fish don't feel much pain since there aren't many nerves where they're caught usually and even if they do feel pain, they forget about it a second later because they have no attention span...kind of like our dear little Goldfish here. ;)
