Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky is one of my favorites.

Don't know if you had to read Catcher In the Rye in high school but that book was great too.

A farewell to arms by Hemingway, Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice (very good but i just can't bring myself to finish it due to lack of time and seeing the movie 4291491 times)

A Million Tiny Pieces by James Frey was good but it all depends on what you like to read.

Fast Food Nation, Peter Pan, A Buddhist Bible - ed by Goddard, Seinfeld and Philosophy - ed by Irwin, and I Shouldn't Even Be Doing This - Bob Newhart, and The Metamorphosis - Kafka.

Also, The Neverending Story. The book is infinitely better than the movie.
