still have not been paid for HR portraits by sig to noise. magazine came out. pictures look....oookaaay. not that great. i did not get cover.
only got B+ in stupid remedial "Technology of Production" class. Apparently getting a B+ in grad school is like "a slap in the face" according to Olivier. But I don't know where he is getting this information. Anyway I am dissapointed in this grade and not sure if I should dispute it.
Also Dietrich/Olivier has again disappeared from the face of the earth with my apt. keys. He was supposed to be looking after my apt. while I was gone but of course has gone MIA and is like living in the student lounge on campus, and apparently has been for several weeks cause his roommates etc. have not seen him. This is starting to be really frustrating. I only have a few friends in Buffalo, and the main one that I rely on as "family" is always pulling shit like this and no amount of admonishment will stop him.
I am really really dreading leaving baltimore. Buffalo is going to be cold as hell, lonely, and full of drama and nerds. Everyone is always having some sort of interpersonal problem, and usually it seems to manifest itself in people telling me that they will no longer be able to come over to my house. Literally everyone that I regularly hang out with has told me at some point that they would not be able to come over to my house anymore because they have a problem with my future roommate, my landlords, or my neighbors. A whistling wasteland full of homework and frustration and no money and cold. Is this worth ten grand a year that I will have to pay back? Am I ever going to be able to get a reasonable job that pays more than 25K a year and provides benefits?
I have tons of stuff to do while I am here and its been difficult due to illness, distraction, and the fact that the internet at Floristree is fucked fully 3/4 of the time.
Things that I got done this year: made first functional websites, got better at editing video, ditto with editing sound, got into grad school and went there for some reason, had solo photo show/sold first prints, made business plan (Sedition Editions), got awesome job (BSA) and quit awesome job, got hired for some photography jobs.
