So we'll just sing it for them

sooo, honda civic was pretty awesome.

saturday me and cranny went down to the lake in charlotte to visit her family. we jet skied, it never fails that i get thrown off into the freezing water 8 million times. so sunday we wandered over to amos' southend around 12 or 1ish to find that i would be much farther back in line than i had planned on being. but no worries, it wasn't too bad. but i did arrive to discover that me and cranny were the only people there not wearing panic at the disco t-shirts. thats a big no no. you never wear the band shirt of said band that is performing. so after about 4 energy drinks, i was so pumped about my life and seeing motion city and panic that i could barely contain myself. the surrounding 14 year olds found me quite the entertainment while talking about past show experiences with some of said bands including fall out boy. the two girls in front of us were astonished at the fact that i was the same age and older than most of p at the d. me and cranny were the senior citizens at this show. the little girl behind us with her mom was cool. so the line at this show was ridiculous and to our dismay, God opened up the heavens and it started pouring rain. and when i saw rain, i mean monsoon. the local radio station was sponsoring the event so they pulled their van around and started playing music. so it was me, the 12-15 year olds and some poor mother who brought her under 10 crowd singing hannah montana in the rain. everyone was so soaked that they had to take ripped up paper at the door that used to be tickets, they had the security at the bars because all the stamps washed off of our hands. so adding to the uncomfort that these shows always bring, everyone is soaking wet, and it smells like beer, sweat, and cigarettes.

so they had this thing where you could text a number and your message would scroll across the big screens they had put up while you waited in between sets. so i sent one from me cranny, and our little friend leo. i couldn't really think of what to say so i sent a beth's secret society one. and everyone else's messages were from their parents like "lizzy have fun with brendon and the rest of panic at the disco! love so and so" our's said, "ollie, cranny and leo - we rule." ahahahha. so phantom planet was pretty good. i was really impressed with them and i love the fact that they still wear matching hoodies at all of their shows. their set was a good dancing time. to close out they played california (yea the OC theme song, they sing that) people went ape shit. then the hush sound came on and opened with medicine man! my fave! they were pretty awesome. greta has a kick a voice. THEN THE TIME CAME. #8. MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK. OHHHH MAYYY GAAHHHDDD. they opened with my favorite accident - a classic - and perfect to get the crowd pumped. their set was pretty awesome. jesse was absolutely insane. as usual. he is so awesome live. he would stop in the middle of the song and just jump to the edge of the stage and start screaming at the top of the lungs with the moog practically on the ground because he still had a hold of it. he never fails to get the crowd going. justin was in rare form, introducing themselves after every sentence he said. and looking hott as usual. he seemed a little more reserved than usual as far as moving around and making jokes and being his neurotic self. future freaks me out closed and was magical as always. so we got out of the pit for panic because i was sick of hearing everyone around us bitch about being pushed. so we went upstairs to meet motion city, but of course the security just rushed us through, so they all got high fives. we went back down to hang with beth. i told her about the message i sent and she was so excited, she hugged me and gave us some free stuff. we hung around with her and talked and sang and danced during panic for about an hour. i regret not being in the crowd for panic a little, but it was probably for the better. we had fun with beth. panic's get up was insane. their set was crazy, but they were good. P at the D is always a party. they were really sweet, each of them sent messages that scrolled thanking everyone for coming and how much they loved us blah blah blah.

of course after the show they're new album really grows on me. i LOVE IT.

overall, great show, i loved seeing panic again, and motion city is always a delight.
