Hot Hot Heat
i'm so so happy!!! today i got home from school, and nikki told me that she called Tower Records and they still had some passes left to meet Hot Hot Heat and see an acoustic performance. so we went!! we bought the cd and got a pass, and me, nikki, and my dad went for dinner at this nice place and i had delicious spaghetti squash!
then at 8, we went back to Tower Records and waited online next to a girl named Tracie! she was so nice, we had a lot of fun with her. and then we got in and there were only 3 people in front of us! and we said how only the losers would stand behind the stage on the steps, that that should be where the jerks get demoted to. and then her friend Matt came, who was also awesome. so they played 7 acoustic songs, opening with "Get in, Or Get Out" and then "Goodnight,Goodnight" playing a few new ones, and then closing with "Bandages"
they sounded so great, i really enjoyed it. the pictures are going to be amazing.
then the 4 of us went back outside to wait to meet them, and we talked about Lang Lang cause we saw his sign, and we thought we should write Lang on each of our stomachs and then Lang on our backs haha.
then we finally went in!! and went up the steps to see the singer waiting to meet everyone!! he complemented me on my ring, (it's a black and white checker heart) and said if thats cause i liked soccer, i explained that i only liked checkers, and showed him my checker socks, which he thought were cool too, (both things Cat gave to me, thanks <3) and then he loved my homeade Hot Hot Heat hoodie! and i showed him the front and back of it, and then the other guy said, "thats weird that you made it" and i made a very sad dissapointed face, and he said " no no no no i was only kidding! i was just joking!" lol he kept saying it. and then i shook his hand and moved down the line, and i said that i loved their band and that they made awesome music, and they said, "your so sweet!"
and matt was taking a picture of the 3 of us behind them, but the table was so long i like stretched myself out, i cant explain it..( i like put up one leg and arm), and the guitarist made it look like he was holding me up haha. and then the bassist said, "she probably doesn't even have a camera and just wants to be held" haha
so i shook all their hands, so i have their DNA on me lol.
yep, it was a great night. but it gets even better....
when we were walking back to the car, we saw Jackie from that 70's show, and none other than... Keving himself of Home Alone.. Macaulay Culkin!!!!!!!!! hahaha it was hilarious! they were both tiny, i'm 5" but they looked like shrimps! they were smoking walking the streets. she gave me a dirty look, but he didnt do anything. haha i was so close to the Home Alone star!!
