Today was surgery day. I don't remember much, but I sure do feel every little bit of pain possible. Had to go to the hospital at 9, which really blew because that is just so early in the morning. I had to change into a surgery gown, and I even got to pick out the little cap I'd be wearing during the surgery (mine was cute! It was pink with shoes and dresses on it. My 2 favorite things, the color pink and shopping! lol). Of course they have all these tests they have to run, and one of them was peeing in the cup. I can't do it! Never have I ever been able to pee in a cup on the spot. So they just had to use my blood work. So after that malfunction, they called my dad in since he was the only one there at the time, and my dad was with me while they put the IV in and took the blood. It wasn't that bad, just a lil bite and a burn, it felt like a fire-ant bite. So me and dad chilled for a lil while. I ruined his hankerchief 'cause I was crying so much. I was so nervous! Then finally Dr. Shannon came over, went over the procedure, and then introduced me to the anestesiologist (hoping that spelling is right! basically the peaople that put you to sleep). So around 11 they were doing this, and it's funny 'cause I don't remember a thing from passing out. They told me they were going to give me a nerve blocker in my knee for my entire lower leg, and I was fine with that, but they were going to do that until they gave me my first dose of "I don't care" medicine. It's just stuff that sedates you to make you feel less nervous. Well after that I have no clue what happened. Me and my dad were quoting Anchorman one minute, and the next I'm being woken up in the recovery room. It was nice because the nurses were really sweet, and mom and Matt got to come back and see me. I was so relieved to see my parents, and the fact that Matt was there made everything even more wonderful. I really do love him a lot :o) So the doctors told me that during the surgery they found that my ligaments were not even attached to my fibula bone, and also there was a chunk of bone just floating around everywhere. Well Dr. Shannon fixed that up, and they put me in a PINK! cast (surprised?). After about 45 mins in the recovery room, I got to go home, and it was sweet 'cause Matt took me back to my house. He stayed until I fell back asleep. I just woke up about 2 hours ago, and I'm not feeling so great. The perkisats are making me drowsy and naucious. So I think I'm goign to go nap... Just felt like updating :o)
