It's as if you've got cancer and you don't know it, that's why you don't go to the doctor - that's why you don't realize you need any medication, any help. The idea of going to the doctor is pointless, really, since you don't know you're sick.
You don't realize you've got this God because you don't know you need Him, that's why you don't care to believe. The idea of a God is pointless in your life, really, since you don't know how bad your life really is without Him.
So you've got this calling, this pulling on your soul and you don't like it. It feels sad, it hurts. Something is missing and you try to fill it with temporary pleasures. You find none of those ...work and you can't satisfy yourself, ever. It justs this constant nagging for more of that something, that something you don't know what it is and it hurts your heart. So you've got this God whispering in your soul and you can feel it, but it's scary.
So you've got this interest in this idea of God, and you want to fulfill it. You don't believe just yet and you don't believe you've done anything wrong to Him. You wonder how worldly pleasures could be wrong to Him anyway, you wonder if there really is a Him. You don't see how much He's sacraficed for you, you don't see how much you've smacked him around. One day He's real to you, one day He's not. You pray only when you need him and ignore Him otherwise. He's a ragdoll to you, something you use to create pride.
So you've realized how much he wants you to ...Love Him, and how much you've hurt Him. He is an almighty God of the entire universe that MADE you and keeps you safe who wants a ...relationship with you, and for that reason you see you've disgraced him. You look back and see that things you've done wrong have had consequences in your life.. You see now that those consequences where a way He was showing you He's there. He allowed pain in your life so that you'd call out to Him, but you misused the pain and acused Him of being nonexistant. He took care of you when you didn't even see it. You've realized He's been really patient with you, and merciful to your actions toward Him.
So you've got this new faith, and aren't sure what to do with it. You should ask a believer questions about Him, pray and simply ask for Him to ...show Himself to you. Ask and ye shall receive, The Bible states. Knock and ye shall find. If He's called you to be His, He will ...show Himself to you. You believe Christ was God, a man sent from God to take upon his wrath so that many will not ever know it. God is a just God. A judge that lets a killer free would be an unjust judge. The same is true with the Father. He had to punish, and Jesus took that for you. He saved you, so that you can be close to God.
So you've got salvation and you know it, that's why you praise God - He gave you the gift of his spirit in your heart and that's why NOW you understand, thats why you thank him for answering prayers, and providing. You realize you were sick and needed medication.
