Giving Him To You - chap. 4~
Chapter 4 : Third-Wheeler
"Where to, my love?"
"Umm..." Well, this wasn't awkward at all. "...wherever is fine."
It was a quarter past six in the evening, with the lovely sunset visible on the eastern side. A delicate fusion of peach, lavender, orange and gold strewn with just a hint of azure dyed the open, cloudless sky, the sun becoming dormant as it set slowly below the horizon. Ji Yong loved sunsets, Daniel noticed.
"Seung Ri used to watch these with me." Ji Yong smiled, facing the east side to take in the breathtaking sunset before his eyes. He was totally oblivious to his date's twitching lips, threatening to form a pout. "It's pretty, huh?"
He shrugged impassively. Gentle hands found their way around Ji Yong's small waist; he rested his clean-shaven chin on the younger's right shoulder, tilting his head skywards enough to stare in the direction of Ji Yong's mesmerized eyes. "I've seen more beautiful things."
"Really?" Ji Yong's soft, whispery voice was whisked away with the unsparing wind, barely audible in his ears. "Like what? I can't imagine anything more beautiful than this sight."
"Wanna bet?" Ji Yong was wheeled around on the soles of his feet, and soon, he was jogging into a department that sold clothes and accessories with Daniel pulling him forward. Just after rounding two corners, he found what he was looking for. "Look at that. Now that's what I call beautiful." He placed Ji Yong's lithe form carefully in front of his. Like magic, the "couple's" figures appeared on the wall facing them, mirroring their every movement. A mirror. "You're beautiful, Ji Yong." Daniel stoked his cheek, a loving and caring gesture; faint traces of the light touch were left behind, replaced by a giddy feeling in its ongoing path.
Ji Yong flushed a delicate shade of rose. "Daniel, I...I don't think we should be doing this in public. I mean, what if one of your students catches you with me? What will they think then?" Dark umber irises overflowed with no other visible emotion but lament for the older man.
"Don't worry." A hand ran through straight, golden blond locks from the scalp to their ends, repeating the slow and sensual action again and again. "No one will catch us. I promise."

Seung Ri, black trench coat, big sunglasses, oversized dome cap and all, lurched from thick bush to thick shrub to thick bush. Like a secret agent, he was undercover, following the fast-moving duo on their so-called date. Not on his watch.
The sun had set long ago, according to the silver watch wrapped securely around his left hand. He tucked it back under his long sleeve, careful not to call any attention to himself. Well, at least the "couple" was well unaware of his obvious presence.
Half past seven, Daniel and Ji Yong decided to settle down for dinner at a local, yet elaborately elegant Italian restaurant, it seemed. Damn, this lucky bastard has money. He followed closely behind the lovey-dovey couple - well, at least on Daniel's note - and hid behind tall, leafy plants whenever one of them turned their heads to the side at even the slightest angle. When the two were finally seated, Seung Ri was the next in line waiting impatiently for a table. "Table for one, please."
"Alone tonight, sir? Or are you waiting for someone," the male waiter teased, mocking the other, slightly shorter man.
Seung Ri smiled half-heartedly, returning the faux concern in the waiter's rude and even sarcastic tone. "I won't be alone for long, unlike you...Hitori? Doesn't that mean 'alone' in Japanese?" He sauntered ahead of the male waiter. "Well? Aren't you gonna take me to my seat? What kind of service is this!?" He sighed melodramatically, then opened one eye - the eye closest to the other man - to see the boggled expression on his face. It was apparent in his features, visible through all the wrinkles.
"Right this way," he mumbled under his breath. He walked in front of Seung Ri, guiding him towards his table. Once seated comfortably at a safe distance from the couple - he argued with the male waiter to change his table, which he did so at least thrice times - he cleared his throat, a gesture that indicated for the waiter to go away. "Don't you want to order, sir," he added reluctantly.
"Shh! Either shut up or keep your voice low; it carries, in case you didn't know." He sighed, then took a deep breath before he spoke to the irritated and impatient man once again. "Look, I don't need anything, I don't want anything, and I don't even want to look at you for another second. So just go away, don't bother me, and spend this on something useful, will ya?" Seung Ri slipped the male a fifty-dollar bill to let him keep his table. His focused eyes averted back to his ex-boyfriend, bringing his mind back to the mission at hands.
The waiter named Hitori mumbled something incoherently under his breath, too soft for Seung Ri to hear; he shrugged the echoing voice off. Hitori, being the curious man he was, averted his eyes in the same direction as the other's and turned his head slightly, enough to see what Seung Ri was seeing. "What 'cha looking at?" His eyes scanned the tables in the far corner of the room, mesmerizing each face until he came upon a particularly beautiful one. The human creature was male. He, himself, was straight. "Whoa..." His mind began to wander.
"Hey, hey." Seung Ri waved his right hand in front of his face, keeping the volume and tone of his voice rather low. "Don't get any funny ideas. That babe's mine, ya hear? Always has been, always will be." Seung Ri struggled to see the truth in the last sentence he spoke.
"Fine." Hitori walked away, sauntering over to the table with the two men chatting animatedly; Ji Yong was giggling at something Daniel said. On rather light feet, he asked with a little added enthusiasm, "Hello, gentlemen. What can I get for you? Your wish is my command." He winked in Ji Yong's direction. Again, Daniel's lips twitched ever-so-slightly.
So did Seung Ri's.
And the theory stating that one sighting of Ji Yong was enough to make any straight man gay remained to be true.

Ji Yong gorged himself with a full plate of pesto over linguine gracefully while Daniel devoured his own plate of baked seafood penne. Once their stomachs were completely stuffed and satisfied, Daniel asked and payed for the check, which was conveniently cut down slightly in price courtesy of male waiter Hitori. And they were headed out - Ji Yong with Daniel's arm tightly wrapped around his small waist and Seung Ri, who followed closely behind. Still, the duo was oblivious to his heated presence, as if he were leaving a trail of fireballs behind him with every step he took forward. He was sneaky, that young Seung Ri.
He followed them all the way to their car - Daniel's car. Fuck; how the hell was he supposed to follow them now!? So, he stole some teenage boy's bike - which was carelessly dumped on the front lawn of their house - and stowed away into the darkness of the night, following the sound of the roaring engine a safe distance ahead of him.

Daniel carried Ji Yong bridal-style up to the second floor and plopped him onto his ivory bed covers, flapping up around his sides. From what Seung Ri could see from the window - he was up in a tree with binoculars - he could tell Daniel was offering his ex some wine...or was it champagne? Whatever it was, it was going to make Ji Yong red and drunk in to time; he had a very low alcohol tolerance.
As Daniel inched closer to the window in which Seung Ri was outside, he endeavored to hide behind thick branches and big leaves, but it was already too late and dark for the other to see anything. He closed the blood red curtains with one pull. Shit.
Luckily, as he was thinking ahead, he snapped some pictures of Daniel flirting with Ji Yong on his bed, hand firmly on the younger's thigh, inching farther upwards towards their dirty destination...
Snap. Snap. Snap.
"You're dead, Professor Jung." He smirked wickedly.
