i'm stuck in a moment that wasn't meant to last
Today is August first and I simply cannot believe that summer has gone by so fast and that school is like 4 weeks away. Sorry for the depressing note, but it's so true.
So...I feel like I haven't been home in forever. Thursday was a day off from work for me, which was totally awesome. I didn't really do much all day because my car had to have a part replaced and an oil change so I stayed home and relaxed and read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (which I finished yesterday and it was incredible) and watched TV and such. Later on, after I got my car back and had dinner, I went over to Kristin's and me, her, and Marissa went out for ice cream...always a good time with those two ;). I slept over Kristin's Thursday night. We have the crazziestttt times...I think it's because we will both laugh at anything and everything.
So Friday I went home from Kristin's in the morning and basically hung around all afternoon because I had another work-free day. Went out to Uno's with Kris, Tricia, and Kathy on Friday night, and then back to Kristin's to sleep over yet again. (We're cool like that.) We had quite the time, as always :) On Saturday we went with her mom to Wal-Mart and sat in the chairs that give you a back massage and I've decided that my dorm room in college will contain at least one of them. Went home, rushed around trying to get ready for work which I was totally dreading, and then went to work from 4 - 9:30. I was supposed to go to a family reunion that night but couldn't because of work...but I hear I didn't miss too much so it's all good. I talked to Courtney on my break and she invited me to sleep over, and I didn't know if I was going to be able to because I was getting out a little bit on the late side... but thennnn since the store was so dead all night, I got sent home early!!! At 8 o'clock!!! I was far too excited for words. So that was awesome and I ended up going to Courtney's for a "nocturnal get together" where we had a ton of fun, as always.
Today was good...had church in the morning, helped my dad wash all three cars which I thought was fun because I'm a little weird like that, cleaned my room, played outside and rode bikes, blah blah blah. It was nice being home since I've been so busy lately.
Not sure what's going on this week...going to the beach Thursday and possibly to NH for a few days later in the week. That would be wickeddd cool if I went. I hope I do. Ok well I'm going to go.
