My Spontaneous Weekend
Soooo...me and Kelly are just sitting around Friday night after watching the debate, being bored. All of a sudden we decide to go to Orlando and visit Amanda, who was all alone in her apt. and needed our company. By the time we packed and got on the road it was like midnight. It was sooo great. I now want to do all my travelling at night, there is absolutely NO traffic, it was beautiful. Before we went we were like thinking why we wouldn't be able to go, and we're like..ummm..we can do whatever we want. There's no one here telling us what to do! So we just got in the car and drove to Orlando on a whim. By the time we got there and went to bed it was like 2:30. We proceeded to wake up at 8 o'clock in the morning, I was woken up by a pillow being thrown at my head (thanks Kelly). Then we went to Islands of Adventure!! I made the mistake of bringing only jeans, and the only tshirt I brought with me was black. By the time we got into the park, not 10 mins went by and I was dying. So we went in one of the gift shops, and I bought a pair of shorts, and I guess just because they say "Universal Studios" on them that they were allowed to be priced at 27 freaking dollars!! But it cooled me off, so it was money well spent. We spent most of the day at the park, and left soaking wet after riding the water rapids ride and getting drenched. We went back to Amanda's apt. and she made us spaghetti and meatballs which were oh so yummy. Just a side note...has anyone ever heard of putting bbq sauce in meatballs?? Because apparently weirdo Amanda does..I've never heard of it. Luckily she left that out of the meatballs just for us :-). After we ate and showered, we went to a comedy club. It was all improv, and was SOOOO funny. I definately would want to go back again. After that we went back and like passed out by 11:30..after watching empire records, which I forced myself to stay awake for because its such an awesome movie. When we finally woke up Sunday, we drove back to Tampa. I like passed out again without even meaning to for like 3 hours. It was such a fun spontaneous little weekend trip! Thanks Amanda for your hospitality, and your yummy dinner you made for us! So, the only interesting thing that happened to me today: I'm in my University Experience class, and we're having a guest speaker making a presentation on safe sex. She asks for volunteers, which I ended up being one of, and we were all a step in how to put on a condom. We had like 30 seconds to get in order. After we got in order we had to read each of the steps. The guy that was before me was like .."ooh my favorite part, ACTION!" The whole class busted out laughing, it was so funny. So the whole time were reading the steps the speaker lady whips out this bright green dildo to demonstrate the steps on that she refers to as "Richard." I've sat through many safe sex lectures, and I have definately NEVER seen that before! The whole class was hysterical..such immature freshmen we are, lol. One girl even had to ask, "Why do you call it Richard?" LoL. Yeah, I thought that was funny enough to share. SOOO went to the USF Homecoming carnival tonight. It was kinda fun..got back and opened quite an interesting birthday gift from Kelly. How am I ever going to thank you..lol. Well, I guess thats all the babbling I can do tonight, I'm pretty tired.
