*Voting*
today after my academic writing class (which sucked because my paper was the biggest piece of shit EVER), me and k headed over to the convocation center to vote. after standing for a while, k found out she couldn't vote and left! anyway, i chilled there with these really cool people i met...we got pizza delivered to us from our prez shalala! wooot. and the democrats kept feeding us sandwiches and water and cookies and nutrigrain bars and pop tarts and SO MUCH STUFF.
i got to meet jimmy morales, he was running for mayor down here. i voted for him!! but he lost by like 9%! how sad. he was cool - he gave me a turkey sandwich and his wife gave me water. he was kind of an idiot though..this girl asked him why she should vote for him and he goes "haven't you been paying attention?" and his wife goes "he is against poverty!"...right...idiot, probably deserved to lose. i shouldn't have voted for him, but the food was oh so good ;) (actually, it was dry and i only ate a bite, haha.)
the best part was this psycho spanish catholic insane woman who was pro-bush. she came to us because we had kerry signs..and tols us that if we vote kerry, we will all be drafted in the army when we are 21. so we were all like uh, that is bush moron, and clearly we won't be drafted for voting kerry cuz bush is gona prob win anyway! so then these kerry girls came over cuz they heard the bush woman talking about the draft, and the kerry girls were like "yeah! no bush! we don't want a drafT!" - they thought the crazy lady was pro-kerry, ha ha ha. so funny. it was totally entertaining.
i saw some awesome shirts. one said the only bush i trust is my own. another, which i have a pic of on my phone, says good bush, with a pic of a girl's, well, bush, haha, and bad bush, written under a pic of w.
mtv came for a while and interviewed a lot of people. a few girls said they are never voting again. i feel that way..i really don't want to vote again. ever. my vote made no difference. i know that sounds horrible but it's true. i wasted 6 hours of my day in fucking 84 degree weather, standing up, bored, and bush still won florida. i hate that guy.
when we got there at 4:50ish, they told us we'd wait 4 hours. well, 6 hours later, i voted. i got back to my room a little after 10:45.
i don't think kerry is going to win. they say bush got florida. i feel like i wasted my day.
i hate bush. this sucks. let's all move to canada.
