A True Story:

The Broken Statue was beautiful even with the fractures and broken stone that ran across it's form. The Broken Statue looked upon the Scarlet and approved of the Scarlet. The Scarlet in turn felt special and important to be of interest to the Broken Statue.

The Broken Statue asked of the Scarlet to raise the chisel and strike its face. This the Scarlet did and a gouge of shattered stone was sundered across the Broken Statue's cheek. The Broken Statue was please with the Scarlet and the Scarlet felt important. Yet sadness creeped around the Scarlet and tugged at the Scarlet's Shadow.

Then the Broken Statue asked of the Scarlet to strike the chisel against it's breast. This the scarlet did and shattered stone of the Broken Statue's breast fell before it's feet. The Scarlet felt even more important to the Broken Statue, but the sadness crept further around the Scarlet. The Scarlet ignored the sadness and reveled in the feeling of being special.

The Broken Statue then asked of the Scarlet to sunder stone from its thigh and this too the Scarlet did. Even greater feelings of importance and special praise filled the Scarlet's senses as the Broken Statue gazed, but the sadness pulled on the Scarlet and turned to fear. The fear filled the Scarlet's eyes and saw truly how the damage was destroying the Statue's beauty, and the Scarlet worried.

The Broken Statue offered up a great and heavy hammer to the Scarlet and bade the Scarlet to crush its body. The Scarlet held the hammer and hesitated. In the Scarlet's hesitation the Scarlet backed away and the Broken Statue screamed in fury, spouting hate upon the Scarlet for having fear.

The Scarlet tried to feel strong and could not so it asked for forgiveness. The Broken Statue bade the Scarlet to sunder it's other thigh which the Scarlet did. The Scarlet felt special again under the approval of the Broken Statue, but the fear filled the Scarlet's eyes again and the Scarlet saw that its hands had become the tool of self-destruction.

The Scarlet backed away again and the Broken Statue screamed and cursed at the Scarlet's fear.

The Scarlet vowed to not break the Broken Statue and left to escape temptation. When the Scarlet returned to the Broken Statue it would speak no more to the Scarlet.

Another had smashed the lips of the Broken Statue.
