We still have no fucking internet! It was supposed to be up Thursday. Thursday night we call our provider and the woman opens our file, Bell Canada changed the date to Friday and didn't tell out provider. Friday comes and a guy from our service comes to the apartment to check that everything is working well, which it is, but there is still no signal. He calls Bell. They tell him it will be up Friday night, Saturday, or Monday at the latest. Yeah. Mom calls our provider Sunday to verify,they confirm that it's supposed to be up Monday. Monday comes, no service. I call in the late afternoon since it's gone beyond ridiculous, and they say they are waiting for confirmation from Bell. Seems Bell has to do something on their end to allow the DSL to go through. All night, in to this morning, no internet. Mom calls them this morning (at this point we're beyond pissed, though we know it's not our provider's fault) and gets told that since we're not Bell customers and it's not phone service, we've been shifted to the bottom of the list. Our provider has sent it to a manager at Bell, but knowing that fucking company, I doubt anything will be done.
I hate Bell Canada. I hate the monoply they have on everything, phone, tv, radio. They're asshats to the extreme. They have crappy customer service. They like to play games with other services (since most phone boxes in the area are theirs, they like to do things like surprise upgrades that knocks out service if you're not one of their customers). I can't stand them.
*sigh* This has me beyond angry and so very tired. It's been weeks now. We should have had service almost two weeks ago but Bell is full of asses that likes to fuck things up for people.
If anyone's wondering how I'm posting this, I'm at McDonald's with it's lovely free Wifi, a root beer, and a hot fudge sunday to sooth my nerves.
