Hmm
I never know what to title these little things.. it would probably help if I knew what I was going to write before I wrote it.
Quite the interesting weekend I had. Saturday was Lauren's 21st birthday celebration. I spent most of the afternoon getting Matthew lost on the Cape. Regardless, I still had a good time catching up with people.. not so much of a great time getting made fun of.. but that's generally how it goes. Yesterday I spent most of my day in New Bedford which was exciting. I got to catch up with Heather and Jonathan :) :) I think I'm finally at a point where I'm ready to leave all this behind. I'm ready to move on.. I'm ready to get away from the United States for more than a month. I'm ready for my life to start.
Things, however, have been stressful lately. I think I finally have housing set up for the guys... all but 4 people are on campus.. the 4 who are off campus are two sets of brothers so it's not a huge deal considering they will really only be sleeping off campus. Now just to figure out meals, transportation, advertising, etc. I have to get all this paperwork sent into International Ministries soon. I have no job and haven't heard back on this job I really want. I am waiting to hear back from professors about finishing my degree from the Dominican Republic. I hear via my grandmother that my mother doesn't have a clue. Am I surprised? Not really. You would think after 5 years my mom would figure out why there is such an issue between us and her.. but no. She still doesn't get it. This wouldn't bother me if it weren't for the fact that I could run into her anywhere now since she lives 10 minutes from me. I really hope that changes sooner than the end of August.
I REALLY MISS LA ROMANA TODAY! I am ready for September and January. Juliana flew home the other day and messaged me yesterday. Everyone is really excited about the show at UMASS which makes me very happy! :) It will be here before we know it which will put me in quite the happy mood the week of September 11.
