Well. Just got a call from one of the three temp agencies I'm listed with. Seems that one of their clients would like to interview me for a clerk position (the client is a large law firm). This is good. However, the hourly rate isn't quite what I was hoping for--though still quite good, and with an opportunity for overtime. It adds up, more or less, to what I was making per year at my previous job, which means I'm coming out ahead--no LIRR to pay for (that's a savings of about $200/month).
However, I interviewd with another temp agency yesterday, and they're putting me in for a position with an insurance company that pays slightly better.
The interview with the legal firm is on Monday. I don't know if the insurance company wants to meet with me.
And neither of these things, of course, guarantee any work.
My cup overfloweth, in a way, and that's great--but it leaves a lot of thinking for me to do, you know?
