I just want to be a successful writer. That's pretty much it. Looking forward to DC, looking forward to next semester. Feeling generally good about life--obviously there are bad days, obviously some things get tough but on the whole I'm really satisfied with the direction my life's taken in the past six months or so. Granted since I'm just now finally getting my head on my shoulders, some responsibilities and goals really fall through the cracks. I'm trying hard to learn to let things go, keep it simple.
So inspired, though. Lately I feel like every other thought in my head is scripted by me and me alone for the amusement of others, and it is slowly driving me insane.
I'm so pissed I couldn't fit the fashion & beauty milestone into my schedule next year. Maybe senior year, but I'll be writing my senior history thesis so I don't know if that will be too much. I better be able to get that shit published.
My mom told me I should just be a songwriter.
I think a key to enjoying yourself is knowing who you really are, discovering that and embracing that. It's a tough process, but in the past year or so I've done a hell of a job digging myself out of where I was and really got to know myself. Unfortunately, I realize how much of myself is a masochist--in so many ways. I have someone who cares about me in spite or even because of that, and it is the most frightful and beautiful feeling.
Frightful....and beautiful. So truly seamless and balanced. We're just these fantastic ambitious dreamers, we're twisted but elegant, we're like chocolate and peanut butter or coke and champagne or some combination that's dangerous and decadent and it's so bad, there's something so indulgent, but I've never been a good one to resist a new addiction.
