1st day of high school
Yeah well I'm journaling because Nat inspired me! Thanks girl! lylas!
Yes, today was my first day of high school! Pretty scary huh? High school is where you get to make your own decisions, and the decisions you make are for your future! So it was kind of a huge step for me, but the classes aren't that different from middle school! You basically have the same rules, except i kind of find myself missing middle school already..because it was so easy and you didn't have to really worry about anything! I mean if you got a bad grade, it didn't go on your PERMANENT RECORD! Whatever we do in high school..colleges look at! It's kind of a scary thought! In high school we have choices: like what classes to take, what groups you want to hang out with, and what kind of activities you want to do!
For the past week or so I've had a dilemma: volleyball or oral interp.?? Well last night I decided that was no longer going to participate in volleyball...in otherwords I was going to quit~ I hate the word quit...and I absolutly hate being a quitter! It took me 2 years to quit orchestra..and that's one of the only things I've ever quit! If you haven't guessed already, I'm not a very good decision maker! I despise deciding! I wish it was possible to do everything! But, I finally realized this year that you can't! So are you wondering why I chose oral interp over volleyball? haha Do half of you even know what oral interp is? lol...well basically oral interp is an acting thing! That's why I chose it. Because I realized that as much as I love volleyball, I wasn't planning on playing in college or to become a professional! But acting is something I love too and I realized that I do want to continue doing it throughout highschool and college! I've wanted to act ever since my first play in second grade....My neighbors and I put on a play called "Actions Speak Louder than Words" and I was Samantha, the lead, I loved it! Acting is like playing make-believe, you get to be something, or someone you're not! Throughout middle school I tried to be in every acting thing possible! Oliver, Annie, Guys and Dolls, plus all the middle school plays, and DAPA (Dakota Academy of Performing Arts)! I just love it! I love to entertain people, to be able to make them laugh or cry, and I just love performing! I can't change the way I feel about it..even though some of my friends are mad at me for quitting volleyball...they have to understand that I love acting more...and I had to make a decision! Well now after I read over this...I guess it wasn't that hard of a decision afterall! :D
---->Ok, yea so today was the first day of high school! Guess what time I got up this lovely morning?? 5:15!! Way to early! No, I didn't get up that early just to get ready for school! I had band! I mean what can be better then hearing Kessler's lovely voice every single morning at 6:45! (note sarcasm) lol
So during band we ran the first movement a couple of times, and then ran the second...where Kylee and I about got killed by the saxophones...or nick! haha
Then I walked into the high school a freshman! haha ...Yeah so we all filed into our homerooms when the bell rang. I had Mr. Nelson...or a.k.a. (according to Kelsey and Nicolette) "ponytail dude"! lol...So as we looked around at all the ..."interesting" artwork on the shelves and walls...Mr. Nelson gave us our planners and our schedules. Then ..o lucky us.. we had to go to the north gym for a class meeting! yup, the freshman get the only non-air-conditioned part of the high school! haha
Yes, so the first day of school basically went fine! Lots of sylabi! Way too many! and a little schedule mix up but hopefully I can figure that out!
