Band trip '06!

Yeah, I definitely didn't like hearing that being screamed on the bus ride back 20 bazillion times while I was trying to sleep. But, regardless, band trip '06 = awesome.

The bus ride there was rather boring, I slept for most of it. I liked the tour of Monticello (or should I say Gomesacello?), especially since our tour guide was slightly ridiculous and kept saying all these random things. TJ's house was pretty sweet.

When we got the ye olde inn later, MR, Diane, Mary and Allie were quite distressed to find out that the hotel management decided at the last minute that our room was too small to fit my cot into, and put rooms with three people into suites that could have easily slept the five of us. But this later led to adventures taking couch cusions that were actually quite comfortable to sleep on, so it was all good.

Ye olde pool was kinda shallow, but ye olde sauna = kickass.

I liked the tour of Ash Lawn, it was really pretty. And Michie Tavern had the BEST. BISCUITS. EVER. I could seriously live off of them. The biscuits at breakfast weren't nearly as fantastic, but they were pretty good. I <3 biscuits. Dinner at UVA was interesting, and dinner at Ragazzi's was hilarious (ally ally ally ally oop ally oop ally ally ally ally...and some other good jokes).

Orchestra performance went pretty well. Haley kicked ass, and I didn't mess up my part of the duet. And orchestra got a superior, which was awesome. Congratulations to band and choir (especially Mary Kate, most awesome drum major eva!), you guys were all amazing. I liked watching everyone perform, and when the marching band was warming up I got to play Mother May I and Simon Says with some people, which was very silly.

Open room time was awesome, especially the dance party and just hanging out in each other's rooms. Random late night conversations with MR and Diane were really funny, and I love the fact that since the shower curtain wasn't see through, other people would be in the bathroom while someone was showering to do their hair or brush their teeth or just talk to whoever was in the shower.

I also liked the our Cranford Only Awards Banquet in the hotel parking lot, because we got to be louder and sillier than we would have been at the actual banquet. It would've been nice to have been presented with awards in front of lots of people and had people go on stage to accept them, but our banquet was a pretty good subsitute.

King's Dominion was AWESOME. Anaconda was cool, the bumper cars were funny, and Volcano was the best ride I've ever been on in my LIFE. It was ridiculously fast. And I had fun just hanging out with people.

I felt like I got a lot closer to people on the trip, which was really nice. And I had a lot of funny, interesting and random conversations with people I've been friends with for awhile and people I didn't know too well.

So yeah, the trip was awesome.

I did drop my cell phone in the toilet, which wasn't awesome. But now it's working again. Yay!

Wow, this post was really long. And kinda scatterbrained. Whatever!
