Save Me (From Myself) - 2:41

Jul 21, 2010 22:02

I've got the music for four songs here along with the lyrics for one. The lyrics/music were written a loooooong time ago, I just never got around to recording it and, with no music, I didn't feel like posting the lyrics to the song. This is the fourth or fifth song I ever wrote. I think I wrote it in Geometry class in HS. It has nothing to do with polygons though. Anyway, the music for this song, Save Me (From Myself) can be downloaded here: Click for audio

The music for Bitter can be downloaded here: Click for audio
(The end half of the solo gets a little too distorted because of the shitty mic I have.)

The music for Get In Line can be downloaded here: Click for audio

The music for Take Me Away, Please can be downloaded here: Click for audio

This song isn't really as sadistic as it looks on the surface. Yes, on the surface it's about a maniac psycho killer. However, when I wrote this song seven years ago it was more about someone getting in their own way - I just used an extreme example that no one can really relate to if they take it at face value. It's about self destructive behavior, being your own worst enemy and needing a change. I promise it's not anything more than an extreme example. I hate putting these disclaimers on things (like Fade Away) but hey.

Fuck with me
I don't give a shit
If you wake up to see another morning
Fuck with me
Now you'll give a shit
You've shut up and it's stopped by mourning

No one said it's alright
You couldn't save yourself
Help me, I'm not alright
Please save me from myself

Down below
Rage is burning in
Don't think I can ignore it
Cannot hold
Rage apart from sin
I try not to but I show it

No one said it's alright
You couldn't save yourself
Help me, I'm not alright
Please save me from myself

Someone died last night
Because of me
They're lying on the stairs
Someone's dead in spite
It wasn't me
Save it for someone that cares

No one said it's alright
You couldn't save yourself
Help me, I'm not alright
Please save me from myself

self destruction, own worst enemy, lyrics
