Sunday night, my trusty laptop of three years went down, complete and utterly down. It's Dead with capital D!
I went to my sister's to borrow their internet to trouble shoot, but ended up enlisting her boyfriend, who knows more about computers than I do, to help with attempting to clean it out. But it wouldn't let us, so it might be the hard disk. Grrrr.
He is a darling, though. He's letting me borrow his old laptop until I can get mine fixed, actually buy a new one with the invisible money I have, or until he needs it, but he said it wouldn't for a while.
Luckily! I had actually planned on cleaning my laptop to make it run better and had begun taking back-up copies of all my files, even my bookmarks (compiled over the last three years) So I have only lost the ones that aren't all that important. Phew. And I've spent most of the evening installing the programs I need to be able to work on pictures, files and other things.
So now I just have to get my laptop fixed. gaaaah. It's a complete conspiracy of computers around!!!
