Motorcycle Project

I’ve been grinding out fixing the motorcycle that I bought off of Jason 2? 3? years ago.  I am making good progress and I’m going to bring the camera out with me tonight when I work on it.

Currently I have:
  • Replaced the gas tank (including new fuel petcocks).
  • cleaned and fixed the seat.
  • Replaced the air filter boxes with cone filters (100% pain in the ass part of the job averted).
  • Replaced the headlight mounts.
  • Replaced the headlight housing.
  • Replaced the oil filter assembly with a new one that uses current market parts (easier to find).
  • Disassembled and inspected the clutch (needs new friction plates at the very least.. but I’m not going to replace those until i’m sure the bike runs).
  • Replaced the oil sump filter (it’s an oil filter that sits in the bottom of the oil pan).
  • Put the new handle bars on.

Overall I’m pretty happy with how the project is going.   Like I said, I’ll get some disassembly pictures up soon.
