Time of Year

It's annual review time. I guess this is where I curb what I say about my outcome expectations because co-workers read this shit now. It'll probably stay tolerable, but it may become intolerable.
One thing that is kind of unnerving about my job is that after I get something done someone else takes it over and I start working on something new and different. Everyone else has pet projects that they are in charge of over time. Mine changes every year. It's unnerving in that around this time they start training someone to do my "job," significantly before they tell me what the next big project I'll be working on is, so it feels like they are ramping up to fire me... repeatedly. That sucks.
