So I'm picking classes next week and this is stressing me out.
Basically because i want to study abroad so bad. What i'm finding is that Bond University, the only Australian university that has a semester the same as ours... won't work out. it doesn't have any lab courses that would transfer over from what i can see. Unless biochemistry would and i won't even know if i can take it until the australian university can tell me. which will take like 8 weeks.. and I can't have that. There is James cook university however which gets out the next earliest.. June 17. I wouldn't leave until the middle of February but still, thats a MONTH after i would get out for the summer normally. (which equals about 2,000 bucks working at newicks full time, and a priceless amount of justin time). It has a lot of marine science stuff to do, so basically if i go to australia its gonna have to be there.
So i've also been looking at other places and there's this place in Costa rica which sounds really good and they will certify me for research diving, a $300+ value, as part of the experience.. and that would be very good for a resume and to get a job researching things in the water. (plus if i could research dive for a living i'm sure i would love it since i love scuba diving and i'm not even good at it yet). and its in the tropics. one downfall is that it is very academicly oriented so it would be a lot of work.
The only thing making me hesitate between costa rica and australia is the fact that i don't know when (or if) I'll ever be able to go to australia again. and never going again would suck prolly more than a lot of things i can think of right now. but it might be a chance i'll have to take.
i'm so torn. blech.. this blows.
