SCOTT PILGRIM WINS HIS BIRTHDAY!
So, things have been going really well lately. I ended up with all A's and a B+ (*shakes fist at Japanese final*) this semester. That gives me a 3.77 GPA for this semester and a 3.75 GPA thus far. I need to bring that up next year but I'm okay with it for right now.
The school apparently did not pay be $10 and hour for working at the journal. So, I recently received $400 in compensation. On top of that, I got paid $100 for my note taking job which I had completely forgotten about. I'll be getting paid for my other jobs soon too.
Two days ago, I ran over to Hancock because they are horrible at answering phones. There is a new manager who I've only worked with about twice over the winter break. However, she said she remembers me and that I was a really good working and know what I'm doing so she hired me back right there. I'll be starting back there as soon as she makes the new schedule.
My twenty-first birthday was yesterday. I went to the ABC store and bought myself a pint of JD. The guy at the counter looked at his watch, told me happy birthday, and grabbed me two sample bottles as a gift. Then Lady (from British dad too but he wasn't able to be here) and the kid gave me presents. I got underpants from Victoria's Secret, perfume, and a $40 Hancock gift card from Lady and Lee. Brother got me Inglourious Basterds. I also got $50 from my grandparents. That is going to AZ. Call Girl got me a pint of Jack before we left school, but I drank that in one day.
I need to finish unpacking today, get some FAFSA things done, workout, and possible start sewing if I can get my sewing closet organized. I'm going to run out to Hancock sometime soon and buy myself a serger with the gift card I got and the extra money I have.
The only bad thing is that my car nearly died again yesterday. Lady tightened the battery cable and it seemed to work. The 'check gauges' light came on again but that tends to come on anytime something goes wrong. However, she doesn't think it's a good idea for me to drive it to AZ, especially since I'll be alone. So, as of right now, I'm looking for a ride to AZ. What I would like to do is go down to Digit's house on Thursday so that I can touch up and fit some costumes and be there in the morning to get into Queeny.
