I was very surprised with the first few dresses I tried on, how heavy they were.
James and I talked about doing some pictures before the ceremony, but he's not on board with that idea. He says then we'll just have to get ready earlier and everything and it would make things more hectic, which I agree with. I will be getting lots of candids with my BMs while we get ready, though. I'm hoping to have a big sleepover in my house before the big day. I don't know if everyone will go for it, but Sadie will already be staying with me and I know Marisa and Ashley would stay if I asked them.
I am going to ask James how he feels about chapels, and go from there. That is an excellent idea. I don't know if there are any around here, but I hope there are and I hope we can get married in one!
I'll definitely be having people RSVP for the reception. When I get the addresses from our moms, I'll be getting phone numbers as well so people who don't RSVP can be called and asked about it.
One of my worries is having too big a room. Did yours feel empty?
Haha a limo is one of the things I initially said we don't need to spend the money on. I wouldn't be driving myself, someone else would be driving, and I'm hoping to borrow or rent a classic car. Limos are nice and I've been in them a few times, but I thought of it as an unnecessary expense. Did you really regret not having one? Now I'm thinking about it, haha.
Well, if you'll be with all your girls in the morning, maybe you could get to the venue a little early and you can do all the pictures with your BMs? That would definitely save a little time if you don't mind being ready early.
If you'll have someone to drive you everywhere, then you don't need to worry about a limo. I just said limo - but just having someone to drive me around all day would have been nice. I had to drive myself back to the hotel from the ceremony, and it sucked. Plus if you're going to have a big train, you'd have a lot harder of a time trying to stuff it in beneath you!
So I just came back to this entry to make sure you hadn't commented back to my last comment, since LJ isn't emailing me lately, and I saw this comment.
It's definitely your decision, but I personally really recommend taking some pictures beforehand, in addition to the getting ready shots. Tommy and I didn't want him to see me before the wedding, but we had the photographer do some shots with the guys and some shots with us, and it was great. It made the time right before the ceremony pass much faster instead of me being all twisted in knots with nervousness, and it definitely saved some time before the reception. In fact, even with some pictures being done early, we still ran late taking pictures afterward and had to hurry up because the food was on heaters in the kitchen and it was going to burn if we didn't go to the reception room soon. So it's definitely up to you but I just wanted to tell you that we did it and it worked out best for us.
It's just a suggestion; I didn't want to be nosy, but I thought I'd throw that in there, because we did have an issue with time. But don't worry - on the day of, schedules and timelines will be the furthest thing from your mind ;)
