Comic-Con Weekend
This past weekend. It's been a long weekend but in a good way. On Friday I had to close at work and after that went out to the waterway with my co-workers to celebrate the last day of one of said co-workers. It was fun. I don't go out like that to much and was pleased when i had a good time.
I got in around 2:30am Saturday morning and got to sleep around 3:30am. I then was back up and out of my place about 7:30am to get to Tauzin's so that we along with Joe could get our asses to Lancaster and catch the train to Comic-Con in Philadelphia. We got there no problems and headed in. I've never been to such a thing and it was defiantly cool. Well cool in a giant nerd way. I really liked being able to check out all the artist that were there. I was able to discover some new stuff and see some older stuff. We all were able to go and see Hayden Panettiere talk. She seemed very nice and was kind of funny. We all got some nice stuff and had a good time. While out in Philly we called Kit Dewy and boy friend to see if they would like to come out and eat. We all met up at the Reading Terminal Market across the street and got some awesome food and had a good time just eating and talking. Tauzin, Joe, and myself then decided to walk back to the train station. On our way back I stopped in front of the Ritz Camera I used to work at to take a picture and then we went to Fat Jack's Comics. I miss that comic store a lot because they have everything you could hope for. From there it was over to Trader Joe's for some awesome humus, mini pitas and diet soda. Then to the train which would take me home for some much needed rest. We got back with no problems, and me being the smart guy I am decided to call up some people to come over and hang out for a bit. So I ended up not getting to sleep again until around 1:30-2:00am.
On Sunday I ended up over sleeping a but and being 15 minuets late to work. Work luckily was very slow today. Not much went on until about 2pm and even then it wasn't anything other then a quick rush of people for about an hour. After work is when the day got awesome. I had planned on going for a walk on a trail with Bekah, but it was just to damn hot for that, so I just went over to her mom's house and hung out for a bit. We made our own chips today though, out of flour tortilla shells. We made some with just salt and some others with cilantro and lime. They turned out pretty good, but it was what we decided to make after this that was awesome. Bekah said something about jalapeno poppers and reminded me about making our own. So we decided to do that. We ran out to giant and got jalapeno peppers and some monterey jack cheese. We split and seeded the peppers, filled it with jack cheese and then wrapped it in flaky biscuit dough. They're good. We had some left over biscuit dough and Bekah had the wonderful idea of filling the last bit of dough with some banana and peanut butter. Delicious. Then we went on a nice walk with her mom and when we got back it was a couple episodes of Dinosaurs and then back home, where I for some reason decided that I needed to finally get on my web-site and fix it up all nice which lead to me staying up way to late.
That's my weekend, it was fun even though I got NO sleep. Thanks to everyone that made it so fun. You all rock.
